Hire These Black Creatives Today: A list of diverse vendors for your creative needs.

Given the impact of COVID on Black owned businesses, companies are actively looking for ways to support more Black businesses. One way we can support Black businesses is to purchase their goods. Another way we can support Black businesses is to diversify our supply chains--including the vendors that we hire.

Below I compile a list of some of my favorite Black creatives that you should check out if you are looking to diversify your vendor base.

  1. Ashleigh Reddy - Photographer: As seen in CNN, Glamour Magazine, Essence Magazine, USA Today, and many other places...Ashleigh is an accomplished photographer out of the Bay Area. Personally, I can't say enough positive things about working with Ashleigh.

2. Karmen Kendrick Creative - Web Consultant: The Atlanta based web consultant and host of The Emerald Sofa, Karmen is insanely talented is dedicated to developing a seamless customer web experience.

3. Looking for a copyrighter for your website, speaker biography, or novel; Kelly has you covered!

4. At Firm for the Culture, Ruky works with clients on how they can protect their brands while scaling their social impact. I've spoken before on the importance of 1) knowing what IP you own and 2) ensuring that you protect your IP. Ruky is another great legal resource for social entrepreneurs looking to protect their brands.

Needless to say, there are A LOT of creatives that are not included on this list, but you can find thousands more here and here.
